I wanted to give you a report on our photo tour. JC did a great
job!! He was especially adept at hiding his Global Positioning
System which he must have used to place me at the precise point
where the sunrise would appear exactly in the notch of Pyramid
Butte. I had a couple of rolls of slides awaiting me when I got
home, and the shot of the sunrise is absolutely wonderful!! JC
kept me very busy finding the next shot while I finished shooting
the last one, and he took me places I would not dare go on my
own, climbing up and down rocks that when I thought about it
later couldn't believe I went there. It was a great morning.
Thanks JC! Your tour was just what I was looking for, and early
results on the first two rolls look great.
Only one critique: Don't let a tea drinker make the coffee. :-)
I told a photographer from North Carolina we met at Arches about
you. I hope he called. We'll be back another year in the fall.

Hi Deb and J.C.
Just wanted to drop you a line to again express what a wonderful
time Ken and I had with J.C. on our tour. I got some great shots,
and yes, J.C. was right about the Agfa film. It is much richer.
I learned so much about my camera, film, angles, timing, etc.I'm
very anxious to come back and do another tour, this time to slot
canyon. My home scanner isn't working right, so I can't send
you a picture right now, but when I get it working again, I will.
Deb, it was so nice to meet you. Good luck on your new home,
and I hope you guys get a little rain. Take care, and I'll keep

As I mentioned when I made
my reservation I have used local guides in British Columbia,
Yukon Territory, and Alaska. On this 4,200 mile loop through
the west I made use of the services of three outfits, yours included.
My experience with Canyonlight surpasses any previous guiding
experience that I have had. JC is a real gem - he's knowledgeable,
he's personable and he's dedicated to the client's needs. I cannot
say enough about him. I could tell that much thought and planning
had gone into preparing for my trip. As a result I was presented
with a highly personalized professional photography outing. And
I appreciate it deeply. I arrived back here in KC on Saturday
night and I am taking my 32 rolls of film into the lab tomorrow.
I'll let you know how they turn out.

I'm so sorry I'm just getting around to writing you after our
trip.In 3 words, WE LOVED IT! Deb you took the time to talk to
me on the phone, you were very open and friendly and projected
a very good impression. You asked me the right questions to set
up the perfect tour. I felt very confident it would be wonderful,
and it was. Bruce Yeager is an excellent guide, a natural, having
come from the teaching profession, and photographic background.
He talked non-stop and we ate it up. Bruce is very knowledgeable
and entertaining. He's also very fit, and took us on a couple
of great hikes. The tour was Excellent, well worth the price.
